Here are some tips for tamping your espresso grind perfectly to help achieve the best espresso shots possible.

1. Use a quality tamper with a flat, level base.

2. Grind your espresso beans to the correct fineness.

3. Distribute the grounds evenly in the portafilter.

4. Tamp the grounds firmly and evenly with about 30 pounds of pressure.

5. Polish the top of the puck with a gentle twist of the tamper.
